Hard Evidence

Yesterday, in a little bit of downtime, I decided I'd go back through a couple classes' tests to get some real numbers relating to my bell curve post. While there weren't as many zeroes as I remembered marking in the three classes I went through, the data is still roughly as I thought. Out of a group of 99 students, here's the rundown on the teacher's adjusted scale:

- 54 As (28 perfect scores)
- 28 Bs through Ds
- 17 Es (3 zeros, 12 scores at 10% or less).

On a standard 10% scale, it's as follows:

- 53 As
- 17 Bs through Ds
- 29 Fs.

As for an "average" C, there were 8, both on the adjusted scale and on a 10% scale.
As I said before, either they know it, or they give up.

PS

Will thinks this post is rather Japanesey and old-school.
