Riding the mighty Moon Worm

Thursday, May 17 at 10:49 PM

Al Gore has a new book coming out entitled The Assault on Reason. This excerpt is all over the board, touching on everything from net neutrality to campaign finance to climate change to the war to postmodernism and reductionism to Paris and Nicole, so it will be interesting to see what exactly the book is about, but it seems like it might be one that’s worth a look, regardless. Tip o’ the hat to Cranach with the link. Free virtual high-fives to anyone who knows where I got the title of this post.

PS

Will thinks this post is rather musing.

That, my friend, is from the Futurama episode "Crimes of the Hot," wherein Al Gore is the king of the moon (as I recall).

"I HAVE RIDDEN THE MIGHTY MOON WORM!" (applause) Al Gore declares as he is about to preside over the conference in Kyoto on global warming, in Futurama.

And Al Gore was the first Emperor of the Moon.

Ah, nothin' brings people together like Futurama. High-fives all around. For those who still don't know what this is about, you can catch it on YouTube.
