The name

“Pulcher Sentio” is Latin, after a fashion, and if it were properly declined (pulchrum instead of pulcher), it might be translated as “I feel pretty.” In its current form, however, it means “I, being pretty, feel,” and thus it shall stay.

About

The look

The design of Pulcher Sentio has gone through many iterations since its debut on Blogspot in April of 2003. The current design stems from considerations for continuity with old designs, content, legibility, navigability, and myriad other concerns. A more complete description of the design processes and influences can be found here.

About

The site

Pulcher Sentio is housed on a server maintained by Peter Wood. Content and design management is facilitated via the Movable Type Publishing Platform, and also relies heavily on the Markdown and Smartypants plugins for typographical concerns.

About

The author

Will Farnham grew up in rural central Ohio, with a brief stint as a missionary kid in Guatemala somewhere in the middle. He attended Hillsdale College in Michigan, and then immediately headed to Japan, where taught English in public elementary and junior high schools for three years. In the summer of 2007, he repatriated and began a two-year course of graduate study in Speech-Language Pathology at Case Western Reserve University. He knows he’s not much of an artist, designer or musician, but that doesn’t stop him from consistently trying to be all three. He enjoys plays on stage and screen, skiing, and ultimate frisbee, is a complete sucker for Apple products, and spells “grey” with an “e” because it looks more grey to him.
